Growing up in the NEIA area, I’ve always been driven by my passion for interior design and architecture. My journey began at Kirkwood Community College, where I earned my associate degree in Interior Design, and continued at University of Northern Iowa, where I completed my bachelor’s degree.

Before and after graduating, I gained valuable experience working for various design firms in Cedar Falls, and Coralville, Iowa, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. These experiences equipped me with extensive knowledge about interior design, and I am eager to share the benefits of various materials and products that can enhance your home.

Now, I reside back in the NEIA area with my labrador, Lady, and my two bulldogs, Angus and Poppy. In addition to my work, I love traveling to historical homes and places, listening to diverse podcasts, and exploring other various topics of interest.

I launched my business, Interior Design by Emily, in January 2017, bringing my passion for interior design to the NEIA area and beyond. Through my collaboration with an E-Design company, I’ve had the privilege of designing spaces all across the U.S.

In addition to interior design and drafting, we specialize in custom window coverings, furniture, and home accessories and decor. Our design studio and showroom, located in Decorah, Iowa, showcases a wide array of samples and custom pieces for both homes and businesses.
